Every February, Career Technical Education (CTE) Month shines a spotlight on programs that equip students with real-world skills for future success in college, careers and beyond.

IUSD middle and high school students have opportunities to take CTE college and career readiness courses that provide hands-on learning experiences that build teamwork, leadership, creativity and problem-solving skills, in various industry sectors. While gaining industry-specific skills, students can also build professional skills that transfer to successful careers in any industry and that can help students succeed in college or university programs.

For middle school students, now is a perfect time to find your interest through a career exploratory course and build skills that will prepare you for any career. Courses include:

  • Engineering and Robotics
  • Digital Media
  • Video Production
  • Culinary Arts
  • Fashion Design

Courses vary at each school.
