WELCOME 7TH GRADE STUDENTS,

It’s a GREAT day to be a Charger! Thursday, August 23rd, is the first day of school!  This is a 7th grade ONLY day.  We stagger our start days to allow incoming 7th graders an opportunity to get to know the school and staff without the extra pressure of 8th graders.

Student schedules will be available on Parent Portal on Wednesday August 22nd at 3:00pm. Please print a copy of the schedule for your student to bring on the first day.

What to Expect on the First Day of School:

School begins at 8:00am and is a minimum day with dismissal at 12:17pm. Students should bring a copy of their student schedule to school. They will report to their 5th period teacher, who is their Homeroom teacher. Homeroom is where they will spend a majority of their day.  During this time, students will tour the campus and learn The Charger Way (our PBIS motto), participate in welcoming activities, and do a run-through of their schedule to find their classrooms.  For those students who forget to bring their schedule, we will also have copies of student schedules available for pick up at the flagpole starting at 7:45am.

A couple things for 7th graders to bring on the first day:

  • your Charger Planner

  • something to write with (pen or pencil)

  • comfortable clothing and sneakers (students will be participating in outdoor activities)

  • water and a snack

PE Information: Students will NOT be dressing for PE until Wednesday, August 29th.  Students do NOT need to bring their PE clothes and lock until that day. **Zero period will start Monday Aug. 27th.

Music Students: Students will NOT need to bring instruments to school until August 27th.

**If you have not registered your student, you must complete make-up registration  in the Front Office before he/she can attend class. The Front Office is open daily from 8:00am - 3:30pm and will be closed from 12:00-1:00pm for lunch.

We look forward to seeing you!
